Finishes

Marble comes in many different characters and textures, thus adapting to the different currents in architecture and interior design.

The polished finish gives the surface of the marble a high level of gloss, giving it a mirror-like appearance. This finish also enhances the colour and minimizes the porosity.
Honed finish makes the surface smooth and matte. It provides a uniform appearance and gives the marble a soft touch. Unlike the polished finish, honed finish does not promote shine.
The antiqued or aged finish gives the stone a beautifully aged appearance through a special mechanical erosion treatment that enhances the texture of the stone. The surface is somewhat irregular.
This finish gives the marble a rugged, uniform appearance. The rough effect created by this technique is perfect for making marbles more resilient for exterior applications.
The sandblasted finish provides the surface with a smooth granular texture. The finish results in a finely dotted surface with uniform texture throughout.
The split-faced finish gives the stone a very rustic and fragmented appearance by exposing the reliefs and bumps of the block or slab.
Flamed finish gives the marble a coarse and uneven appearance. This technique is achieved by briedly exposing the stone to intense heat.
